Periventicular White Matter is not a disease but rather a ventricular symptom of a disease of possibly some sort of dementia. I do have that which is lesions in the white matter of the frontal temporal lobe of my brain. You might have your doctor explain alittle more so you can better understand.

Thank you for the info Tracy. The MRI report used the word "disease" hence I used it in my post. I'm seeing a nuerologist on May 1st but in the meantime, I am trying to find more information, of which yours was also helpful to me. I always appreciate your thoughts and perspecitive on matters discussed on the message board.

Take care and thanks again

Does anybody know anything about or may have been diagnosed with Periventricular White Matter Disease?

I found one page on the internet written by a Dr. Timothy Hain. Are there any organizations dedicated to this condition or is ALZ.ORG the right place to be?

Thanks for any information you can share.
