Hi Ruth,
I'm sorry that your bored. I wish I could give you a break. I asked myself a couple of those questions over the years, too. It's nice not to worry about the parents anymore. I was 50 and newly divorced when my step dad starting getting his various ailments which turned into Parkinson's with LBD. My poor mom was his caregiver but she did hire a nurse to help the last few years. I obviously helped, too. Now that it's over I feel old because I'm getting there. Hope that your journey with parents end soon. You sure do deserve a life of your own.

It irritates me when I arrive home after dropping off the caregiver, and find my dad wet while sister is yakety yak on the fu#$en phone about her problems and God knows what. I told her not to stop by on Sunday anymore. She doesn't really help when it's dad's bath time. She is so consumed with herself and how tough her job is...blah blah blah wah. I just told her, I rather be alone, I like my lone time. I'm sick of hearing her. It's all about her. The one and only. Special. It just makes me angry, so I rather be in peace.
Thx Deb. ;o)

hahahah! I know right?
No, placing him right now won't be better for me....it's a lot of work and preparation, and after reading all the horror stories and stress calls and all that....it seems just as stressful. But, if I start becoming ill, dad's gotta go, for sure.
And you know what?...He freaken looks like he's happy here, for God sakes! Maybe because he sees all the women here and he doesn't know I'm his daughter! hahaha!

He looks content. That's good. It can be almost as much work when they are placed. I got many calls, visited, we went out. I enjoyed our outings. It sure was easier when she was mobile. I have no idea how you can lift your dad in and out of a car. I used a SUV. It was easier, until it wasn't.

He has been able to at least straighten out his legs, but lately it's either getting harder, or we are both just getting tired.
I purchased the beasy board so let's see how that goes. It should arrive by next Friday, I think. I just gotta test it and figure out how to slide the board with the disk underneath him.....he just doesn't help at all.
