Just watched this movie about a young woman suffering from an unknown brain disease with symptoms and experiences so much like dementia, family struggling to find answers, confused doctors, misdiagnoses and finally the only off-ramp given them was placement into a mental health facility for mental illness as one doctor said they could do nothing for her and didn't know the cause. Though it wasn't dementia which afflicted her, saw so many parallels to our experience. Her family never gave up hope, kept pushing back and finally the answer came through in finding the right specialist doctor who could find the answers with the right training and procedures. One phrase stood out which the young women in the movie spoke at the end -
How many people do you think throughout history have been diagnosed with bipolar, schizophrenia or just plain crazy when they had something that could have been so easily diagnosed?
So true.

By chance, do you recall the name of the movie ? It sounds like one I'd like to watch, too.
