Ugh!It's been a really rough week. Had abnormal CT scan and scheduled for biopsy next week. Don't want to get into details but could use thoughts and prayers.

Iris, I've been off work all week after only being able to work a few hours Monday. I'll take off this coming Monday for biopsy. May need MRI also. I'm going in today for a few hours to get some things done. Thank  you all for being here.

I can only imagine that your filled with numerous thoughts. That is only normal. Try to not focus on the biopsy, if that is possible. Know that we are here for you.

llee, just dropping in to let you know I am thinking of you.   Have they scheduled the day of the biopsy?  Let us know if you can; we will be sure to circle the wagons on that day.

Hugs from someone who was in a very similar position some years back; I well remember what that was like.

Right, try to focus on being relaxed and sailing through the biopsy.  I hope you have easy meals lined up for afterwards.  Prays are being said for you, Ilee.

Biopsy cannot be performed in o/p office setting due to vascular component of mass and location. Being referred for MRI and to top doc @ Cooper University who is dept head of head and neck surgery. Greatly appreciate all you having me in your thoughts at this time.

Love & Blessings

If I were a pirate, I'd say, "Aaaargh!"   Okay; one foot in front of the other . . . are you doing okay?

So hope for you that they can do this very soon and hopefully have already scheduled it.  Let us know.

Big hug and warmest thoughts coming your way again,

 J.

I'll have to be a pirate too, and echo"Aaaaargh!"   Well, at least they recognized that before they began.  I hope they can get you on the necessary schedules quickly.  Will you be able to work until the reschedule?

((((((((((((((((Jo C, Iris, Alz+ and Jfkoc))))))))))))))))) big, big hugs to you!

So far so good. I'm okay. Hearing from all of you helps me garner strength and courage. I'm trying to wrap my head around all this and not get overwhelmed as best I can. Thinking in practical terms of how to set things up with work and train my assistant to cover for me if needed seems to be helping me distance myself from fear and emotions. Hopefully, I'll be pre-certified for insurance coverage for the MRI within the next couple days.

Hi llee, you are of course on my mind and I have wondered if you have the results of your MRI, etc. as yet.   Of course, if you do not wish share that information, that is understandable.

Just wanting you to know you have not been forgotten . . . .

Good for you, Ilee.  It can be maddening, waiting for a test, then waiting for the result.  I hope you already know about the loud noises emanating from the MRI machine, so you'll be prepared for them. I also hope you can have a good weekend and distract from everything stressful and be able to relax for a bit.

Good to have that MRI scheduled.  I know; who wants to have to go through all of this, sheesh!    Just when we think enough is enough, life decides to throw another hiccup our way.

Keep us posted, you know we care deeply.

 More hugs coming your way,

 J.

MRI is re-scheduled for next Friday. My veins kept collapsing when they tried to inject contrast on Tuesday. I have to go where there is a nurse for the injection. Mass is fixed and hard. Painful at times but unlike any other type of pain. A strange deep aching type of pain. Lots of fatigue and body aches. Taking Tylenol extra strength. Trying not overthink this and avoid meltdown. Truth be told I'm scared _ _ _ _list!

Can offer no help with WAITING as I do not have the waiting gene, esp for medical stuff. I am impatient while YOU are waiting.

You posted about preparing for this while training people to cover for you at work etc etc. Wow.

Is it possible the biopsy would be part of just removing the whole mass?

Now I am confused, and I will wait until you know.  Thinking about you every day my friend.  Who goes with you when you have this done? You have dog babysitter?

I am sure many of us wish we could not just post here but come over and do something.

love you

Try to get some rest!  Sleep well on the weekend!

I've been moving boxes in my condo since last week, and I'm getting dizzy from fatigue.  I have to rest, myself.  Michael posted a thread about fatigue a while ago. We have to accept that we don't have the stamina that we used to have.  We have to make allowances and compensations.  And we have to get more rest.

Ilee, were you the one who posted about spoons?  We have to monitor our spoons of energy.
