Bill passed away June 21, 2013. This was passed out at a grief meeting, did Bill send it just for me?
My First Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below.
With tiny lights, like Heavens stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear,
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, dear ones, you know I hold you dear.
And be glad I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift from, my heavenly home above,
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold,
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please Love and keep each other, as my Father said to do,
For I can't count the blessings or Love he has for each of you.
So Have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear,
Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

How beautiful! I lost my Daddy in March of this year. This will be my first Christmas w/o him. I still have my wonderful mama who is in late stages of ALZ. This poem made me cry. The poem really hit me in the heart. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING IT.

OMGOSH!!!! I love that, even though it brought even more tears.
Everyday since June 3, 2013, when Mom left for Heaven...I ask her..."How does this look from up there?"
I see pictures from outer space and say..."Wow, Mom can see that with the naked eye...she can even touch it if she wants."...I see the moon, the stars, the sun and, I know Mom is among them.
The morning of the day Mom went to meet God, face to face....I told her she'd be singing in the choir. She had such a beautiful earthly voice...I can only imagine how perfect it is, now.
I know there will come the day when we'll be beside each other, once again...singing in the choir....but, until then....I will continue to miss her terribly.
I'm so very thankful she knows no sorrow, anymore. She'd be so heartbroken to know that I am so absolutely heartbroken.
Again, I thank you for sharing that poem. Have a great Christmas!

I have read that before but once you have lost a LO it has more meaning.
Thanks for sharing. I hope you all have good memories of your LOs this Christmas season.

We just had my mom's committal service at the cemetery Saturday and our pastor read one very similar to this. It was bittersweet but comforting. Thanks for sharing this one.

Millie, My husband of 42 years passed away May 7 of this year. Even though I miss him terribly and this will be my first Christmas without him; the poem bought me joy at knowing he will be celebrating with our Lord. I know you miss your Bill too but if we ask God to give us the strength to keep going, he is faithful and will help us to bear our sorrow. May you have peace this Christmas and in the years to come.
