Hi All,

Mom was on hospice nearly a year.

I would have lost my mind without hospice as Mom had many doctors and ER visits before hospice.

The family left Tuesday and I am slowly coming out of the fog.

I must address some health issues I neglected the last few years. One issue is getting a heart ablation for SVT. I don't want to do it because I'm afraid they will want to put in a pacemaker. Unlikely, but concerning.

At some point I will need to get a job. The last 6 years caring for Mom was my job and I am now in my fifties.

Oh well, life will be sorted out and I will create a new life.

Thanks for listening!

I hope you take care of yourself, first and foremost and then get some rest for as long as you can. Everything you've been through the last six years does take a toll and so often, we put ourselves last on the list of things to take care of. Sometimes, it just works out that way and not always easy to find the time to take care of ourselves.

I hope you will be all right and you'll get your health back on track.

Getting used to a new way living takes time. I know how I felt, it was a big void, an empty spot that I didn't know what to do with. I had worked full time and took care of my dad, the last two years of his life, he was in a care facility and still I spent a lot of time with him, after work and on weekends.

It takes a lot of time and adjustment, but first things first, and that's your wellbeing and health. I wish you the best and take care. Things eventually fall into place again.
