When I gain the emotional strength to bury my mother with dad I want to wrap her urn in some type of cloth- I first thought of a shroud (mentioned in another scattering of ashes post) but found them to be more for bodies therefore large (and costly)
I have no further ideas.
When they open the grave, if her urn is not covered or wrapped in some way I envision when we place her there will be a big clunk of the two metal urns hitting- if you have not see the graves for urns they are very deep so one cannot place the urn...the urn kinda has to be dropped in (sigh)
Whatever I wrap her urn in, I will tie it with sorrowful white ribbon and use the tails of the ribbon to place her with my dad.
What types of items if any did you add to your loved ones grave?
Thank you everyone

Bela, I didn't add anything with my wife's ashes because there in a Niche in a veterans cemetery. And when I die I'll be in the same niche and we'll be together again.
So in answer to your question, have you considered an article of her clothing, like a scarf or blouse etc? Just a suggestion.
Good luck.
