There’s a hole in my heart where my mom use to be
A sadness inside that keeps following me
I try to outsmart it and try to forge on
But it hurts so much knowing forever she’s gone
I can still feel her hands and I still see her face
And I look for signs of her all over the place
Does she know how I miss her does she know how I feel?
Does she know that I can’t even believe this is real?
Wherever she is now dear God I just pray
That she will be there waiting on my dying day
There’s a hole in my heart where my mom use to be…….

Oh this is so beautiful and moving. I'm at work and don't need to start crying now.
But I can bet you'll find out soon that the answers to your questions are "yes."

Hi Rocky, I'm doing the best that I can, thank you. I sure hope you're doing as well as you can be. I read this the other day and it made me think.....I DO want to remember the good things and smile and laugh when I think of mom....this really helped.
You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
