Jim,

I caught your update on Homer's post regarding your dear wife going on hospice.  My heart goes out to you today.  I went through it with my mother and I can only imagine how much harder it is with a spouse.

I wasn't ready for the first time a professional mentioned hospice to me, even though I had been thinking about it for months and months.  When a professional brings up the subject, you know that it is real, not just your own perception.

Since you brought up scripture, I'd like to share part of a verse of a hymn that brought comfort to me after I lost my dad and continues to bring comfort as I grieve my mother.  It is the last part of one of the verses of "Be Still, My Soul".  It goes like this:

Be still, my soul, thy Jesus can repay

From His own fullness all He takes away.

You mentioned that the Lord had provided comfort to you in other ways throughout this journey.  I pray that He continues to meet all your needs.
