Yes, this is true. Some sorrows never go away. A friend of mine comes to mind. She lost her husband suddenly without warning. 12 years later, her son, a police officer, was killed in the line of duty, on the same day her husband died 12 years earlier. For her, her heart is permanently broken, she will never be free from this kind of sorrow. I can't imagine her pain and suffering, thinking of it, is unbearable.
