OK, I'm not going to get into any political discussion or debate here-but I just found out that the Alzheimer's walk that is scheduled for this Saturday in downtown St. Louis has been canceled for now. I'm sure they'll reschedule it.

Unfortunately, it's probably the right decision as they are trying to make it safe.  And there's a good chance it won't be safe.

If you haven't heard, the judges is supposed to deliver a verdict in a shooting case that happened in 2011. The National Guard was called in today, the police start working 12 hour shift tomorrow morning, and there's a large presence of police and the courthouse and police station I believe have been barricaded off,  due to the protests and also due to what protesters have stated will happen if the verdict does not come back as guilty. They said they're going to shut down the St. Louis cardinal stadium, the St. Louis airport etc. etc. etc. So yes, canceling the walk,   Is probably the safest and best idea at this time.

SIGH

Again, this is NOT about guilty or not guilty here-the only point I am making is that it makes me very sad and very mad that our loved ones may temporarily even suffer. As if PWD's  don't have enough to deal with,-I just find this unacceptable and it just makes me very mad and sad. Just needed to vent

If you pray, please pray for peace and that cooler heads will prevail.

Sending you all lots of pop tart's, a good weekend, and some freshly squeezed homemade lemonade

 Always be VK

Hi Julie,

So sorry to hear this, that is disappointing but understandable they are concerned for safety. So sad what are world is coming to. I will be praying for peace. I hope you are doing well. I am hanging in there, it is still just so hard. Really missing both my parents.

Love and hugs and of course, pop tarts!
