Why would I make breakfast for my wife. Yesterday I woke up went to the kitchen, made coffee, sat down and watched the news for 30 minutes, then went to the kitchen and made breakfast, just cereal and milk for Linda and me. As I poured the milk into her cereal bowl I thought why did I do that? Linda past away on June 16, 2017 as was not with me any more. Its one thing to always be thinking about her, but to make breakfast for her is completely a different thing. Will this madness ever end?

Last Dance, I think the answer is because they never leave our heart and mind.  Your brain was on automatic pilot.
A losing hand.

You ask Will this madness ever end?  Eventually it will.

I think that after loosing a loved one we sort of operate on automatic pilot, and we do things like we've been doing from force of habit. Everyone say's it gets better with time, and it does, but it's a very very slow process.  My wife is gone 28 months and there's still a lot of bad lonely days. I don't know if it affects everyone that long, from what I've read it seems to.

And just like when she was alive all you can do is try your best.

Take care of yourself and good luck.
