DDoes anyone else have strong urine odor and non-normal (non "S" shape) bowel movements? I never seem to have normal brown stools anymore and my urine odor makes me selfconscious. (I wonder if I stink.)

Please see your GP now. You need a urine test and possibly also a stool test. Even those of us with a medical background should base our answers on lab tests.
Can't recall what you may have written earlier about where you are in the testing process. I'm a proponent of: if in doubt, get tested at the best diagnostic center available. And that is usually a large University or Medical School complex with an Alzheimer's or Dementia Department.

I agree. See your doctor ASAP!
Write down your symptoms and for how long you have had them.

Hi,
I agree with the feedback. Please, also bring a list of mediations and supplements you take (over the counter).
Good Luck.
Please, post again to let us know how you are doing.
Peace and Hope,
Lisa

Ive had both tested by different practitioners under my UHC insurance.
MMy GP/PCP tests my urine almost EVERYTIME I in go for something. (Says got to test for UTI.). No UTI as of yet.
WWill I get a different answer if I pay out-of-pocket care?

Urine smells depending on what we eat, supplements, and definitely medications.

One step, there are many possible reasons, to be discussed with a medical doctor, who knows your full history, and can do an evaluation.
As for being self conscious about urine smells, at times we can become overly anxious about things that are not apparent to others. Anxiety by itself is a symptom. Your anxiety should also be discussed with your doctor.
Everyone has oddities and abnormalities. I was a pediatrician in my working life, so I know about this. Some of the oddities may be significant, but most are not. It is a good idea to have a baseline, and to keep an eye on things. But too much anxiety is not good.
A good doctor will gather all these little oddities and see if these are significant--if so, what to do about them? If not, reassure the patient, and follow up at some time in the future, if necessary. Some oddities may persist, some may be gone, and there may be new oddities to become aware of.
The main point is to note them, evaluate them, and then follow up as needed.
Just today, I returned from my annual medical examination with an abnormal lab result. The doctor did not mention it. But I checked it out when I returned home, and I will keep an eye on it myself. But I am not anxious about it.
Many years ago, I noted that my urine was bright yellow. This happened while I was out of the country, and I was quite concerned, because it was a new symptom. Only sometime later, did I realize that I had begun taking a large dosage of B vitamins, and that colored my urine so brightly.
Do you keep a notebook or folder with your medical symptoms, reports, and doctor visits? I do. Otherwise, I would not remember what I had discussed at each visit. Keep a note of your symptoms and all medications and supplements. It will help.

A counselor did mini memory test on me.... on a 'good' brain day. Says mild memory loss, no 'red flag' yet to see specialist. So now what? I'm 90% sure I have it, I know what my parent went through. I was the person around the most to witness (and notice) the changes. I know it feels like I am barely keeping myself 'aware' enough to keep functioning without assistance paying bills and the like. As Im sure most everyone here knows, STRESS makes it worse. I just don't have any who sees me on regular basis to witness to doctor to get the insurance referral. This is so frustrating.
