Dementia patients with dysphagia (difficulty in swallowing) have to drink thickened fluids, not regular fluids, to avoid aspiration.

CBD oil is supposed to be thick, but I am not sure if it needs to be thickened further.

This is a great question! I am not a medical expert, but my understanding is that any substance that a person with dysphagia would consume should be thickened to prevent aspiration.
