(Source: Alzheimer's Assn.) - Two studies presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference provide evidence of connections between mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and increased isolation and death. These studies suggest that MCI, which is too often thought of as "only a little memory loss," is a serious condition that demands heightened physician and family member observation, personalized care, and additional research. MCI can be a precursor to Alzheimer's disease.
