The medical technology company Intelgenx is sponsoring the anti-inflammatory drug Montelukast in a clinical trial in Canada for Alzheimer's.

The trial setup has been moving slowly, and it is rumoured that the company was running low on funds. Two days ago, Intelgenx announced that they had an agreement with Tilray Inc to produce cannabis infused products. A day later, Intelgenx's stock has almost doubled, and the company is getting a big infusion of capital. I hope they can use some of this money to speed up the clinical trial process.

This drug has been available for over 20 years. I have been taking it for two and a half years, and now take 10 mg three times a day. My extreme mental fatigue and occasional confusion disappeared within the first week, and I have had no bad side effects. Hopefully when the results come out the middle of next year, more physicians will be willing to prescribe this drug for Alzheimer's/dementia.

Larry, hope the infusion of capital will get the trials moving and if a few specialist doctors try it with success on patients it would be great.
