In a world where a lot depends on who you know, why not get to know some
of the people who are doing the research for Alzheimer's treatment?
..................................................................................................................................................
Being important. Valued and listened to. By health care
professionals. (Can you imagine?)
Access to the most advanced treatments in medical science, relatively easily*
FREE MEDICAL CARE
A FREE VACATION, wait.. no? No. Okay Let’s call it subsidized travel to a
specific city. Potential Coverage for
Transportation to the Trial site, Accommodation while there and some money for
meals
BEING FIRST ON THE LIST /NO TREATMENT GAP
Those who are in the trial will keep getting the drug or
access to the device while the rest of the world waits for
A.
The end
of the Trial
B.
Trial Results to be Published
C.
Enough Drugs or Devices to be built to meet the
need
D.
Regulatory Approval in your Country
E. The powers that be decides to provide coverage (pay for it)
F. A doctor to prescribe it
G. The powers that be decide that you qualify to have it covered.
( Initial approvals may be limited by stage or severity to keep costs in check)
Have you ever seen those Enrolling by
Invitation Only Trials. If you are in the Trial that succeeds you will be
invited to take part in the Second step.
GETTING INTO A TRIAL is way easier/faster
than trying to convince your SELF, your FAMILY, then your DOCTOR, that there
are options available for the treatment of Alzheimers.
Then harassing your doctor until they
actually submit the paperwork for Special Access/ Expanded Access/ Compassionate
Access, so you can have the same treatment as people in the trial if you don’t
meet their criteria.
Yes, this does exist but I’ve read that it’s
a long, process and its NOT easy.

If you are in another trial, and get to know people in the medical research world, maybe you will meet someone who can recommend you as a candidate for another trial.
