Nice poem BlueSkies. I wish I could write so well, but I do talk to God several times a day through prayer, and reading His Word.

Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for the compliment Andrew.  I have always loved to write poetry.  Makes me feel good knowing you enjoyed it.

I love that you talk to God several times a day.  Me too.   I talk to God more than people in my life, at this point.  My verbal skills have taken a hit and not so fun to try and hold a conversation anymore, but with God, piece of cake.

That, my friend, is a wonderful use of an idiom I would never have considered on my own. " But with God, piece of cake. " Beautiful. BlueSkies looks at the shot clock, pauses for a half second, and then shoots the ball. All net !

Chris, had no idea what "idiom" was.  Googled it and yes that's what it was.  Still learning.     Funny that my impaired writing looks "smart", lol.  Glad you enjoyed my thoughts.  I am always enjoying yours.

BlueSkies, just for the record, I had to use Google too. All I could think of was an analogy, and I was pretty sure that wasn't right.

Blue Skies,

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate your poem. Your love for God shines through.

As I had one of those "what the heck am I doing, anyway?" kind of mornings, in which I felt torn between the care provisions for a number of different people and situations, anxiety and discouragement came crowding in. I decided to take a break and read up on the messages here. Although I had read your poem before, it seemed to have special meaning to me today.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your talents. I learn so much from reading your posts here on these boards!
