My SGF, you sweet thing!  To hear from you has made more than my DAY, it has made my last couple of months!!!!

Yes, I have been very worried about you.  It is so great to hear that you are still thinking about all of us here.

I have said many times that I wish you were back.  Sometimes I feel like no one else here "gets me".  You always do.  I'm so happy to have had our words together.

If I could take off for Saugherties, I would.  Keep your spirits. Hang on to your humor.  Smile and look for butterflies.!!!

I will remind you now of how you saw a butterfly, sent by your sis!  Now I think of you when I see them.

I miss you but am glad you will come back when you can.  Where are you staying? Are you still at home or with your daughter?  Maybe you have a new place where you have others around to help you and be with.

I will keeps praying for your peace and health issues!  Bye for now my silly SGF.

I wish I could make a really LARGE smiley!!!

Hi again my dear SGF!!  You made my day today when I read your post!

That's great news that you are keeping  your clothes on..  .and you are

still in your home.  It sounds like you're recovering from your run in with the car?  I sure hope so.

How are your eyes doing.  I know it helps to have the lines double spaced.

Even though you have been through a lot you keep your spirit in tact!  It's

our spirits that will remember each other in the ugly days we will some day endure.

We will remember that connection that we have with each other.  I've had so

much fun with you and will never forget my SGF!

But your memory is doing well.  I wasn't sure with all you have been through,

if you would even remember the nicknames we call each other!

How is your family, (your daughter and the grand babies and grandson)?

I want to remind you to talk with your social worker or whomever is "your

keeper" about your computer needs.

Please remind them how important it is for you to have your support from the

Message Board.   I'm thinking you still don't have a computer at home and

need to go to the library.

Maybe they can bring a laptop for you to use when they come to see you.  I

just think your ability to communicate with us is healthy for you.

Besides, we miss you!  LOL!  I can't remember if your daughter has a laptop.

How did you get to use a computer this last time?

Well, check back with us real soon.

Until then...keep looking for your sister's butterflies!

Here are your loving (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))

hopeful30 - i, too, am experiencing some "tummy stuff" - it started about 3-4 months ago.  i used to eat plenty of fish, veggies,  oatmeal and other grains every day.  now, my desire is not there, at all.  not to look at food, let alone eat it.  my nutritional system is totally messed up, and i am diabetic.  i started drinking carnation breakfast essentials (no added sugar) and they're not bad, expensive, but not bad.  also yogurt.  am slowly getting into yogurt and toast.

my intestinal tract is totally messed up because of this.  i have had bouts of constipation and have had to use a stool softener.  this has NEVER happened to me in my life!  or it's the other extreme....not just loose stools but diarrhea without warning (like today)....no cramping stomache or anything.  luckily i was home, but, really!  my friend asked me if it may be my meds....i don't know, i've been on the same ones since 2007.  so then when you don't get enough nutrition, you're sluggish, also.

like i said, will talk with dr. next fri at my appt.

Lorene, Hi my SGF!  Great to hear from you.  Glad "grands" are good.  Are the twins

3 yet...or is that an impossible thing to remember?  LOL!!!

I should know All about forgetting ages of grAnd babiesbecause I'm ALWAYS off

a year or so.  Guess I don't want them to get older.  I get one age in my head, and

then  they have a birthday and I get all messed up!

As a matter of fact, one birthday is coming up this month!  Can't remember her

age...She will be  9-11 ... somewhere in there.

I'm going to try to send you an email as a "connection" on the board.  Go to the top of

this page and look at the 4th tab called "inbox".  There will be a #1 showing you

have one email.

When you open the "inbox" you should see my email and any others that may have

been sent to you by your other connections.

I hope my explanation is right.

Hi nomemo,  are you taking any new medications that could be causing you GI

problems?  If you have started taking Aricept, that is known for causing bowel

issues.  I sounds familiar to my reactions to Aricept.  I lost considerable weight

(which was a good thing), but it was a tough way to do it.  I switched to Exelon

patch and my symptoms disappeared.

I hope you can get Some answers soon. Sounds like you need to go get your

stomach checked out.  That's also on my ToDoList.

Hello, Lorene, nice to see you back online.

What were you searching for late at night in the street in your slippers?  Ice cream?  Ha Ha! (a little joke)

Do you have a Medic Alert or Safe Return bracelet?

Keep busy!  Stay safe!  Take care!

Ice cream with hot fudge and nuts?  Why were you tootling through the streets.  It's too early to Trick or Treat!  LOL!

Did you forget the Library is closed during the night?

I know your community is small and they all know you...but onE day you might wander to another State.  Then you would be in a mess.  Get a bracelet or AD Id.

Glad you came back to say hi.

Hi, Lorene, It's good to hear from you.

Don't think of it as being babysat, think of it as having a companion.  I wish I had a companion to go around with me.  Are you able to get out on a regular basis with your companion?

Socialization and keeping your brain active are strong parts of Best Practices.  It's good to get out, especially to visit the library to use the computer to visit with your online friends (us)!

Do you do any craft projects or puzzles or play card games?  I like to play spider solitaire and mah-jongg online.  I haven't done any crafts lately, but now that the cooler weather is approaching, I may try to get back into doing
crafts.

It's also nice to get out to see the changing of the fall colors on the trees.  In southern California the trees do not change color much, but the scenery is always beautiful.

Here people decorate their homes for Halloween.  I like to see the decorations of pumpkins when I drive around.

I also like the fall foods, especially apple dishes and apple cider.  Yum!

Take care of yourself, Lorene.  Keep busy.  Post when you can.

Iris L.

My beautiful, silly girlfriend!!  I think of you VERY often.

I'm glad you have a companion now and you wear a bracelet!!

Don't think of the companion as a babysitter...think of them as "Your keeper"!!

LOL!

I know your sense of humor is still intact and that remark hopefully brought a

big smile    to your face.

I told my Michael that he is "my keeper"!

I hope you get out often.  We all hope you can get to the library often because

we LOVE to hear from you!

You are very special to us old timers on the boards.

Hope your daughter is being supportive and thoughtful.  How are the twins and your grandson?

Come back to us often.  Remember, the butterflies are from your sister.  Then think of her.

(((((hugs)))))
