Hello all,

I wanted to share this for fellow CGs like me who are parents to young children in addition to taking care of a LO with AD or Dementia.

I got this book from the library last night to read to my 5 y/o son, since my mother (diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia) lives with us, and they struggle to get along some times.  It is called "Still My Grandma" by Veronique Van den Abeele.

What a GREAT book!!  I will warn you to read it ahead of time, I made the mistake of reading it along with my son and found myself crying through the last half of the book.  But, it is a great way to show your kids (or other youngins struggling to understand) that there are still many wonderful things about their grandparents, even though they may act a little differently and do strange things.

Hi, MrsTrotman13. This Board is for those of us whom have early onset Alzheimer's or other dementia, but you are very welcomed to participate in our discussions or to pop in from time to time to learn the perspectives of those of us with AD.
