I'm sending wishes to all for a very warm and contented Christmas. Every winter I pull out my favorite Shel Silverstein verse that appeals to the six year old in me and thought I would share it again:
"I made myself a snowball
as perfect as could be;
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
and let it sleep with me;
I made it some pajamas
and a pillow for its head;
Then last night it ran away
but first it wet the bed!"
Sending everyone happy wishes for whatever holiday you celebrate: Happy Christmas; Happy Hannukah (a bit tardy); Happy Winter Solstice; Happy Kwanzaa; and Happy Festivus!
That's a whole lot of Happy I am sending your way,
J.

Thank you for your kind wishes and llee, making a child laugh is one of my favorite all-time things to do.
My poor husband has had a stomach virus and our daughter who flew in from out of state got it from him and she has been sick as can be. Both of them had flu shots back in early October. Sigh. So far, despite growling tummy and a bit of queasiness and feeling tired, I am still holding my own on that front and hope against hope that continues.
alz+ sounds as though she has had an outbreak of shingles; that is not a good thing to experience. Let's hope this all passes soon and that everyone stays well.

Johanna, I don't see you. But I like your poem so much, I am going to take the liberty of posting it on the "To Lift Our Spirits" thread. I hope you don't mind. We can use the chuckle!
