An old song for a hurting person

This was written about 15 years ago after a friend complained that her friends were always mooching rides off of her because she was the only one of her little group who owned a car.

I hope it's not too far off topic, but this is how I keep my memories in order.

                           You Can Cry

When it seems like even living
Is getting too hard
When you feel like you can never
Let down your guard
When you're empty and cold
And your life is on hold
When you know you've just played
Your last card

When you wake every morning
To nothing but pain
When you look out your window
But you only see rain
When you don't have a clue
As to what you should do
So you try and start over
Again

    Then you can cry
    You can cry
And let the tears roll down
    From your eye

    No one can see
'Cuz there's just you and me
So honey, it's alright to cry

        Now I know
        That you've
        Been down here before

        And I know
        You've picked yourself
        Up off the floor

        And I know
        You've got steel
        Deep down in your soul

        But sometimes
        These things
        They get out of control

So when your friends only come by
'Cuz they want a free ride
When you feel like like you're the only one
Holding back the tide

When you're tired and sore
And can't take anymore
When you've gotta let out
What's inside

    Then you can cry
    You can cry
And let the tears roll down
    From your eye

    No one can see
'Cuz there's just you and me
So honey, it's alright to cry
I said honey, it's alright to cry

I  appreciate the opportunity to post this stuff here. It makes me feel like maybe there was a reason to write some of these things.

Thanks for the boost, Nadine. I'll keep digging around for my old writings and add some of my newer ones as I find them.

Since someone is on a deleting post project, I might as well piggyback on some of these old threads....

Hi.

Great song, but I can't cry...

Dude, I just realized, I have 871 posts!

Imagine if I deleted every single one of them....

How long would that take?

Let's see, if it takes 1 minute per post, that would = 871 minutes....equivalent to 14.5 freaken hours! Wwwwwoooooowwww

Liar liar! Pants on fire!  I actually cried watching "Monsters, Inc".  And it's supposed to be a Disney comedy!  Silly

Monsters Inc. is a great movie. My oldest son (38) still loves Disney movies.

Who is deleting posts?

Never noticed how many posts I've posted? I never realized how much I've had to say? Wow!

I'll just give a hint, someone who lost someone recently.  I noticed it FRiday, and yesterday it went out of control, and the caregivers forum got crowded with a bunch of old threads.....a couple of members discovered who it was, some of us tried to stop the person because we were trying to respond to new members who got lost in the middle of the crowded forum.  Then later someone said some things about the person....I'm certain the person got to realize what he/she did, or maybe just didn't care. But it was annoying and I don't understand why it was necessary for the person to do this.

Actually, it was happening throughout different forums....this one it looks like only two old threads jumped up. I sent a message to Alzconnected but I doubt a moderator has read it yet, and I don't think there's anything that can be done....

Oh, someone came forward (one of them, there was actually two members deleting yesterday), but it was for a good reason.....I guess sometimes we got to be careful, very careful, with what is posted here.

If someone lost they're loved one then surely we must forgive them for whatever it s that they feel they need to do to deal with their pain. We do have to be careful about what we write here.
