AFA's National Toll-Free Helpline is Now Open 7 Days a Week!
Starting today, AFA's National Toll-Free Helpline will be available
to provide support, assistance and referrals to families affected by
Alzheimer's disease seven days a week.
The new helpline hours are:
Monday-Friday: 9 am to 9 pm (ET)
Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm (ET)
Sunday: 9 am to 1 pm (ET)
Call 866-232-8484 to speak with one of AFA's licensed social
workers if you have questions or need help!

And for those who are unaware, the Alzheimer's Assn. has a 24 hour Helpline that is available 365 days of the year. It can be reached at, (800) 272-3900. If you call, please ask to speak to a Care Consultant; there are no fees for this service. Consultants are highly educated Social Workers who specialize in dementia and family dynamics. Much emotional support, information and assistance in problem solving difficult situations.
It is wonderful that persons with dementia and caregivers have access to such support as presented in this Thread.

Thanks, Johanna. I have consulted the Care Consultants at the Alzheimer's Association Helpline in the past with very good results.
The Alzheimer's Association is the organization that has provided us this wonderful message board and chat room for free all these years.
