Thanks Tom for reminding me what I have to be grateful for.....I don't feel like I have as many wits about me as I did a year ago, but maybe they are wiser ones! Lol......best wishes for the new year to all!

Really... I feel cleared than I was when we got the diagnosis in June of 2008! You just need to follow Mimis Best Practices (see below) and keep having your meds adjusted.
My disclaimer: I'm not a professional in this area, only a person with AD that cares about others and can express myself yet. Diagnosed at age 58 in Stage 5, now appear firmly in Stage 4 for now- wonderful meds! I 'm 62 now..
We encourage you to call the Alzheimer's Association's 24/7 Helpline
1-800-272-3900 . Ask for a Care Consultant who will be available
Helpful hints for slowing the progression:
- Get Early detection
- Start the required drug therapy
- Avoid stress
- Mediterranean diet with antioxidants and Omega 3
- Mental and physical exercise
LATER... Tom

You're right, Tom. We made it through another year! Wow, I'm getting old.
Well done everyone.
Thanks for all your support. I couldn't do it without all of you!
Peace.
