I searched through all the threads to retrieve the "Let's Talk About Music" thread from the Archives.  I have wonderful memories, even now, about that thread.  Here is a link for anyone who wants to travel down memory lane.

I just listened to an audiobook called 'Qiet: The power of an Introvert'. You may think this doesn't pertain to music but it does.

I love music, by myself, because I am an extreme intovert. Always have been. I can tap my foot with the orchestra, but would only sing alone. My whole family sang. Oh, my dad's voice was beautiful. He was a minister and he led the ___(people in the seats) with harmony. Gosh it was fun to go to church. My brother taught me some piano and I loved it. I also learned violin and won an award in 6th grade for 'most appprovement' in an instrument. I got to use the violin for free for a whole year. I was so proud!

Now my head is silent. Yes, a prompt will help, but most days the vibration needs to be very calm. No more rock!

I have started a new collection of spa music. I got a bunch free from the library and ripped it to my computer. I also like soothing sleep music. It is just relaxing, not so much sleepy.

Concerts I saw were... oh I can't remember the names. Maybe I can start  another list in my journal !

Rebecca, keep your eye peeled for a used violin. I'll bet your fingers still remember.

There is one episode, I think it was in the HBO series, The Alzheimer's project, where a gentleman who was pretty far gone, was taken for an evening with his old glee club. He got up stage and even did a solo!

It's in there.

Mimi, you're thinking of Woody, who sang with his four part harmony group.  Here is the link to The Memory Loss Tapes of the HBO's The Alzheimer's Project:

The whole video is about 40 minutes long,

It truly was impressive to see Woody sing.

I have been doing something similar, have taken to spa/sleep msuic the last couple of days, no words to worry about, just relaxing and beautiful musci,  I should do what you have and borrow cd's from the library and rip them. I use a music program I got through facebook I think called Spotify but I don't think it works if I'm not connected to the internet.  If I rip the CD's then it will be available no matter what,  thats a good idea!  That is..if you don't mind my copying your idea lol
