May I add:
Find the Sunshine in your day! It's a step beyond "stop to smell the roses".
It's recognizing that the beauty and fragrance of the rose is a blessing that we are thankful for.
The "Sunshine" is Positive and what helps us get through our day.

Creating Moments of Joy is directed towards caregivers of dementia patients. It's about giving up expectations of what used to be and recognizing new moments that can be joyful in the life of the LO. It's a good concept for patients to consider.

I was walking around one of the local supermarkets and saw the following Proverb on a coffee mug: "Just when the caterpillar thought that the world was over, he became a butterfly."
Metaphorically, I feel as though I am that butterfly, after getting my Alzheimer's diagnosis, and I am living each day to the fullest with family and friends in this new chapter/phase of my life.
Any other butterfly's out there?

That's a good way of looking at the new development in our lives, Sandy.
I'm trying to give up expectations of my old life and look forward to the experiences of my new life.

yes, Sandy, i'm a butterfly and i keep flittin' along!
Mish, i've always loved that saying. thanks for putting it on today.....my family's going thru a difficult time right now...we lost my uncle the other day (mom's last surviving sibling) and we're grieving....but i believe His promise to give strength, comfort and light!
