Doing well here. Had a pretty rough couple of weeks but seem to be settling out.

Good to hear from you, Hi.Phi.High. Don't be a stranger! I've been traveling to the East Coast. Glad to be home. Navigating the airports and other transportation was a little more of a challenge this time.

Sorry it has taken me so long to address your question. The explanation is long but I will try to give you the condensed version.

I have been very busy packing up our belongings and put them in storage, getting things ready for hubby's retirement and hitting the open road.

Health wise I'm good but mentally I'm losing it. Every time I "catch" myself being happy I stop and start ruminating about my MCI and with reason.

I have had a decline in my short term memory and during conversations i lose the correct word and I say  something other than what I meant to say.

My test scores on luminosity and posit science has declined, things I found easy before: reverse numbers, patterns, trailblazing, is now hard.

A few times I got lost in a conversation because when I wanted to talk I had lost the thread of the conversation.

Before I left the state I was supposed to have a appt with my neurologist and she called and said she didn't need to see me this year. My hubby told her what was going on from his perspective and she said there isn't anything we can do at this point.

Please don't tell me to find another dr she is one of the top in her field in Wi.

Best wishes on your husband's retirement and your going on the open road.

Did you get a lot of snow in WI?

For some reason, I pictured you on the east coast.

As you know, stress and anxiety make our cognition worse.  We have to do what we can to de-stress.  I know, easy to say, hard to do.  I'm having the same difficulty myself.  I feel stressed out, even when I try to relax!
