Leaving Me, Again.

When I was tiny, just around 2, my mom left me for 6 weeks, with my Grandmommy and Step Grandfather. Not a good time . . .

An afternoon of Deep Grief. I have cried off and on from 4:00 - 8:30. Losing my mom is so painful. She is "leaving me" again. It's beyond words - it's guttural. Cellular. Deeper than deep. Indescribable. Undeniable. Irreconsilable. Happening. Real. True. I don't know what to do. Courtney Freeny

Morning has broken. Peace, once again. The sun shines brightly - a gentle breeze now and then. The air is light, crisp, cool. The heaviness of water was dumped into stormy pools. It thundered, it lighteninged, it hailed, it rained . . . winds tore at the trees, as if grief were on display. Then -- stillness. Awakening. Sunlight. Birds singing outside my open window. I can breath, once again. Courtney Freeny

Embrace the moment, Courtney. You haven't lost your mom yet. Don"t get ahead of yourself. --Jim
