We have been waiting and waiting for you to get to Bill. Looks like you made it and have been "in situ" for a week now.
I hope you are happy in your new home and that you will tell us all about yourself and post a picture too.

Very nice of you. Doc has been with us since Monday. Doing just fine adjusting. Don't know how to post picture, but will if I can figure out. Doc has already changed my stars. Bill.

Hi Bill,
Because I am a budinsky I'll try to walk you through attaching a picture. It is best to size the photo under 200 kB before trying to attach it.
1. Hit Add Reply and type any text.
2. At the bottom of the text box, hit attachments - a new window will open
3. At top hit Choose File
4. Select the option that locates the photo - I usually have the photo in my iPad photo file so that's what I select and it opens the file
5. Select the photo from the file.
6. The photo will show up in a teeny box. Then hit attach on the right of the screen, it will then say uploading please wait.
7. If the photo attaches you will see the photo file details under the heading current file attachments.
8. if the photo size is too big you will see red text file too big. If the photo is too big it has to be shrunk. I won't go into how I do it because it is way to convoluted. I;m just going to hope you know how to change the photo size.
8. Hit close on the right side of the screen.

Yeah, the "What's Up Doc" went through my mind almost right away, as my wife is a family doctor. I thought she would get a kick out of it. So I have a Golden Retriever sign that I've written the words on so they look kind of ok. He's a really nice dog. Only had him a week now, but he has settled in like he's lived here all his life. We've taken him to some nice restaurants already, and he just goes under the table or next to my chair and stays on the floor without moving much at all. I figure he will be with me until the end, which I hope is a long way off.

I love how dogs just tuck themselves into your life as if they were always there. This must be a good sign! Doc looks very happy to have a good home.

Bill, Doc is so handsome and looks well behaved. I've seen so many retrievers doing 'love attacks' at me, but yours looks so well behaved. I'm so happy for you! Keep us updated.

Hey Bill, Doc is already comfy in restaurants. Even if he does not have to DO a lot of things like some service dogs do he has made the atmosphere lighter.

Doc's training started as a Parkinson's service dog, so he has all the mobility and brace/balance stuff down pat already. When we realized my primary dementia is Lewy Body, which is Parkinson Demential, we realized that I would need a service dog that could easily change gears into a mobility dog in the event the Lewy Body thing produces a lot of Parkinson problems. My doctors have said that I should expect the Parkinson stuff to begin in the not too distant future, since the Pet Scan showed that I had more damage in the LBD area of the brain than I had in the Alz area. Since I have both areas, and my neuro-testing showed both, they diagnosed me with mixed dementia of both types, with the Lewy Body probable in first place. Anyway, Doc is already doing well with his training to get me home from most anywhere we walk, and also take me places. While I know how to do these things right now, I'll not be able to know my way around as the dementia stuff progresses, at least so they say. Regardless what he can and can't do, he is worth his weight in gold for companionship and bring calmness in the face of my mood/behavior stuff. Well, we are off to the grocery store and Post Office now.

PS... I have 3 dogs and a cat that aren't service animals, but boy what love and joy they have added to my life Tried to attach pics, but they were too large. Don't know how to make them smaller

Alz+ - I wrote instructions on how to post a photo a few posts near the top.
Unfortunately I don't know a simple way to shrink photos. There may be an app that does it but I haven't looked for one. I will post on the spouse board and ask how others shrink their photos because there's a lot of photo posting there. The way I do it is very cumbersome but I will explain.
If the photo is too large I send the photo to myself in an email. Sometimes the email has an option to pick the size of the photo to send. So I pick small. I receive the email then save the smaller photo. Then post that photo.

Agent 99, my photo is too large and I do not get an option to pick a smaller size. Thanks for your help anyway. Maybe I can figure something out.

I believe in the "gallery" photo view mode of my tablet there is a drop down menu with with word "crop" that allows resize and save. On my phablet I can select the whole pic in this same crop mode and save it... And even seems to save as smaller file size so I can attach to email. The system renames using same file number but adds"-1" to it.
