I will be leaving tomorrow for a trip to China, visiting Beijing, Shanghai and a couple of other cities. My brother will be going along with me. I was in China thirty years ago, and I am eager to see how much it has changed.
China apparently does not connect to the internet in the outside world, so I doubt that I will be able to post from there. I hope everyone will be well while I am gone. See you in a couple of weeks!

Have a great trip. My daughter was just there a couple years ago, while she was pregnant, and she was able skpye me every day....so maybe you will have the internet after all?

China does connect to the general internet, but the Chinese government blocks political websites and social media. I was able to connect to a lot of websites while in Beijing, but some were blocked (anything political, some news papers, yahoo and for some silly reason, Nordstrom.com).
I don't think they would block this website.

Iris - I am so glad I clicked on this post as I would begin my worry thing if I did not know you were having further adventures.
My friend - your willingness to travel abroad and at home feels like it means something more to all of us.
every time you do this, you do it for all of us. I feel something different in your posts, an energy and sense of health.
For you, travel may be best medicine. What a fantastic development this is. You deserve all the joy and I am very interested in your connection with your brother.
