What does the little orange sunburst mean on a topic title?

I started a new topic and a little orange asterisk or sunburst appeared on my topic title on the board. What does that signify? I can't find that info anywhere on the webpage.

I don't know either, Markus, but it does look kind of cool. I imagine you could contact the technical support people if you really want to know. If you do find out, post the answer, won't you, please ?

I don't know either, but I think it signifies a new post that hasn't had any response yet.

I'm not sure I've seen that, but I have seen what George is talking about.

But the sunburst thing, no.  Maybe I have an older version Windows???

What an optimist you are, Ruth. EVERY version of Windows is an old version 5 seconds after the release date. !!

Well, if I get close with my looking glass I can see it is a sunburst not just a blurry dot. I used to think it marked posts I had not opened.

In my way of looking at things, a tablet is a hand held mobile device that requires 2 hands. And I would imagine that the microphone is optional, but I really don't know - of course, I don't know much of anything about these things, because, " I don't even own a cell phone, " he said, with some pride in his voice.

Ido own one but view  it as something to help me. I use it to make long distance calls, I take an occasional picture and it is a handy address book.

Do I answer it because it rings? No. I rarely answer. I just do not need to be immediately available.

I also have it next to me at night and with me if I am driving at night...sort of a safety thing.

I was wrong; the sunburst does not indicate a new post that has not been responded to.  I obviously don't know what it indicates.  Markus, did you click on 'contact us' and ask them?  If you did, will you let us know?

Ruth, I think maybe it's you that should be reported for your devilish sense of humor.

I enjoy reading your posts because you don't seem to take too seriously; that's an attitude I think everyone in the whole wide world should try to develop.  Thank you.

I don't see anything in orange, nor any sunbursts.

Because the sunburst means that you haven't read that thread yet...
