The account picture isn't me, it is my Mum, just in case you were wondering.
I cared for my Mum for 7 years till she died at the end of July. For the last year of her life she was relearning to talk and her Alzheimer's had stopped progressing. I have been telling her story to Doctors, Nurses, Universities and any professional that would listen, but none really did. Following her death I think it is safe to tell anyone who cares to read her story. It is probably a bit long to tell here so I put it on a company website. I apologize if this breaks any forum rules, but I don't know how else to get her story out there.

In memory of my Mum and in the hope that her story will help others.

The reaction here has been very similar to the health professionals, mild interest but nobody really cares. Maybe I underplayed the Title, THERE IS A CURE FOR ALZHEIMER'S might have been better. Anyway I have done my best, I gave my Mum the best life she could hope for and my job is now done. So I hope that someone picks up on this and takes it forward.
Good luck to all carers. I will always be particularly connected to those caring for Alzheimer's patients and I hope that this cure, or any cure arrives at best speed.
Regards

I’ve read The End of Alzheimer’s Disease and there were plenty of examples of recovery or improvement.

Hi LovesDaddy, thanks for the reply. I have to be honest I haven't read the book and as Mum died, my interest in Alzheimer's is somewhat diminished, and so I am unlikely to read it. I did read quite a few books and many promised the world but delivered little except a profit for the person who wrote the book. Call me a cynic
I know of other examples of people who had a similar experience to Mum of being extremely ill after an antibiotic cocktail, and then showing some level of recovery from Alzheimer's. I know that there are research studies currently underway to look at the link between the gut microbiome and Alzheimer's. I have listed a few on the webpage I created and gave a link to. I don't want your money, you don't have to buy a book, I didn't write one . I f you read the webpage I think you will find I followed the science in linking Antibiotics, the gut microbiome, Mum being very ill, and then her remarkable recovery from Alzheimer's. I do have an updated link to an https version of the webpage.

I wish you and your person with Alzheimer's all the best, look after yourself.
