Last night I was pulling into my favorite convenience store to get my morning coffee.  I am still unclear how it happened, but I ended up smacking into another car.

The woman in the other car began yelling at me.  She obviously thought it was my fault.

Anyway, she calmed down and was very nice.  She gave me her business card.  When I looked at it I almost cried.  She works for the county I live in.  In the Dept. of Aging.

All week, at JAB's and others suggestions, I have been looking at that dept. on line.

Then I run right into it.

Omen?

It's really is a small world! Did you talk to her at all? Aren't you glad you didn't get angry back at her?

Now you have a contact name! How cool is that!

I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason.  I hope you call her.  Maybe you just met your new best friend .

I might have to wait a litle bit.  She clearly thought our "meeting" was my fault.  Being as it was in a parking lot, and PA has no-fault insurance, she probably is still unhappy.  Her small car had way more damage than my van.

Give her a little sob story about how you have been looking them all week online and your situation.  Hopefully she has SOME compassion.  Sometimes the damage looks worse than it actually is.
