I grieve the loss of my husband, but that is only a part of it. I grieve what we had and what we shared. I grieve all the important things that he and we have missed and will miss out on. I grieve the planned future we were robbed of. I grieve all of that and so much more.

Hi Milmac,

I just lost my wife two months ago.

Your post mirrors what I'm currently going through mentally.

I don't know when your DH left you, but it appears your grief is still as fresh as it was that first day without him.

Two months ago, I was grieving and it hit daily from what felt like a million different reasons. I've been able to start sorting out the many reasons I'm grieving, but it is exhausting emotionally.

I hope you've been able to find some face-to-face help in recovering from your loss. I realized a week after my wife's death I was heading for a severe breakdown. I contacted the Hospice that helped me care for my wife at the end, and I've been in individual and now also group therapy since then. The counselors have been very good at helping me sort out the chaos going through my head and focusing on the most important issues individually.

I wish you a safe recovery.

I empathize with your sorrow and pain. I wish you both the best as you move forward with your lives, however broken it may seem now. I hope you feel supported by sharing your feelings with the members on this forum. Take good care of yourselves.
