From Memoirs of a Geisha:

"At the temple there is a poem, called "Loss," carved into the stone. It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out. You cannot read Loss, only feel it."

We lose so much with this disease, it is as if every time we turn around there is yet another loss. This can be difficult to define and describe to others. Others still expect us to smile and tell them that it is ok.

No one, it seems can bear the loss we feel. So we are left to bear it alone in silence.

This loss, of course, could get us down. But usually, we find a way to adjust to the losses and find the positive.

I don't have words anymore to describe how we do today is just the gentle reminder that we do, do that...and how we do...

It says something about the human spirit, our a bird that rises from the ashes again and again.
