Hello Jezzy and a very warm welcome to you.   As you said, you are trying to figure out how to navigate this site, so perhaps a bit of information would be helpful.

I see by your Profile that you have some significant challenges as a loving caregiver for your dear husband, (DH).  You have landed on a Message Board where here is terrific support and good information sharing.  Most of us are caregivers for a Loved One, (LO), and some Members are persons with dementia.

Right now, you are on the, "Musings" Forum.  This is a place where people more or less write of their odds and ends most of the time.  Music, poems, wonderings, sharing of much that is usually on a lighter bent or of interest that may have nothing to do with dementia dynamics and also some dementia discussion too.  Very free-floating.

For the best overview for your purposes, it would be helpful to check out the, "Spousal and Partners" Forum.   When your come onto this Message Board, there is a grid where all the different Forus are listed. Give a click on Spousal and check it out.  Of course we may Post on whatever Forum we wish, or all of them. It is up to you to do whatever is comfortable and useful. The Spousal and Caregivers Forums are the two best attended Forums on the Board which gives more input for where the rubber hits the road, so to speak..

It is also good to know that the Alzheimer's Assn. has a Helpline that can be reached at, (800) 272-3900.  If you call to address concerns or difficulty or just need to vent and obtain suppport; ask to be transferred to a, Care Consultant.  There is no fee for this service.  Consultants are highly educated Social Workers who specialize in dementia and family dynamics.   They are of wonderful support, have much information and can often help us with our problem solving.

We are delighted to have you join us.  We are all here in support of one another and now that includes you too!

J.
