One of our Members, Jim, also know as Mr. Toad on the Spousal Forum, has been instrumental in his town to set up a Dementia Friendly Community. He also gives presentations regarding dementia which has become his special focus since his wife was diagnosed some years ago.   The following is the link; just highlight it and click and you will get to Home/dfsaline, click on that and you will be there:

https://www.dfsaline.org

Lovely looking community - if only there was no snow!

Anyway, highlite the link and it will take you to the site. Once you take a look, also look at the Videos; I like the first one with tree leaves - good input.

There is also a good listing of Resources one can use no matter where one lives.

Thanks to Jim for sharing this with us.

J.

thank you for this info.

can't thank saints who invent ways to help us instead of looking over and past us and being slowed down by the weight of "needs".

give us a proper environment instead of an institution but america is full of corporate institutions with low paid workers filled by patients from family members who were slowing down the lives of the people they cared for years before.

out of the way!

go stare out the window in your room.

boy, looking through dark black lens today. waiting for pre meeting this morning and full of fear cjhemicals that stink..
