Hi to All,

Last night began the Mardi Gras parades.  In New Orleans, Metairie and other areas.

It was windy and cold.  I guess I'm getting too old.  I couldn't handle the cold and wind and the noise.

For the next week and a half, we will have parades, marching bands, flambeau carriers, mardi gras balls and lots of partying.

I can't seem to get into the spirit this year.  I am tired.

I hope everyone has a good and safe Mardi Gras.  Mardi Gras day is Tues. Feb. 21st!

Peace and Hope,

Lisa

Thanks for the reminder, Lisa.  I'm from the North, so Mardi Gras was never a big deal to me.  But now that I live in southern California, people here celebrate Mardi Gras because they make the most of every opportunity to party!

Like you, I don't care to get out when the weather is cold and blustery, but we can celebrate our Mardi Gras in our own way, at home, with our food and music!  I'm getting ready for some gumbo and zydeco!
