maybe someone will post about art and dementia.

My friend's Dad wanted to move to assisted living when he got ALZ, his wife also had it and she wanted to stay home where my friend had hired help and she did most of her mother's care.

When the Dad got there he was still able to speak and shuffled around. Both parents where physicians and the Dad had always wanted to paint. He took it up with a passion. They were Iranian and the paintings were exotic wonders. I saw photos of them and of other art the residents had made, all of it was wonderful.

If possible and there is a space made for me in winter months I would like to paint again. No talent so pure enjoyment. I used to draw, could do it now in bed, but that darn lethargy...
