......... is what I say I have, since people seem to be so confused that it's a type of dementia. Even "Alzheimer's Dementia" seems to me to be preferable to just "Alzheimer's DISEASE".

 

Just my opinion, but I think the confusion set in when we tried to teach people that it's one of (what's the number now?) 11 dementias. Now we have them wondering "which one's he got?"

 

Is it too late to "switch horses in mid-stream?"

 

What do you think?

It’s not too late to make the most of today. Don’t let it matter, Renner. Pretend for a moment. That you don’t have dementia. While you can still pretend. While you can still ask questions.   While you can still go for a walk and take a deep breath of fresh air. And even post on the Alzheimer’s message boards and tell us about it. You are still a thinking/conscious and functional being. Milk it for all it’s worth. --Jim
