Today is already a day full of thoughts after seeing my neuro yesterday. I have so much that I need to do. I need to get some work done on my car so my son has a good sound vehicle for us as he is now the primary driver. My thoughts wonder about the tests that I am having next monday. It will be 2 wweeks before I go back and see my neuro, I wonder what they will show. Hopefully they will provide answers.
It may sound morbid but my thoughts are also planning for the future to make things eaier on my son, such as making my own funeral arrangements, setting up a plan so it won't be so stressful on him when the time comes.
Turns out that my soin won't be graduating in Dec as he had been told, the office at school made a mistake, he still has another full years to go, though it will only be half days. School sure is different than it use to be. But thats okay it gives me more time with him. At times I am not so sure that is a good thing though as the disease causes so much distress.
I am planning to take him on a vacation this summer, I want to give him the best memopries, something he can always hold onto and smile about and remember when.
I never imagined myself going into assisted living or even having people come to my own home to hep me witrh certain tasks. I do need to ask y neuro about home health when I see him again in 2 weeks. Just someone to maybe come in once a week and make sure I am doing my meds right and taking care of my bills okay and spending my money right and plannig for the future.
I think of those that come and go on here and those of us that have been regulars for many years. I can't remember when I actuyally joined, think it was 2008 or something, maybe befroe that. I have had to join and rejoin as i have forgotten paswords, etc.
I encourage anyone new that comes here, try to overlook the negative posts you may see and realize that you will find that in any forum, kinda like a job, there is always a spoil sport somewhere. You have alot of knowledgeable people here. Though I am progressing, I am still one of them. Reach out and the support and education and friendship is here. Don't give up, as your journey with this disease may have just begun and you have a long and winding path to follow.

As always, thanks for sharing. Your som must have been so disappointed. The same thing happened to a grandson of mine in college. of course, i think they should let him graduate as promised, but that isn't how things work.
What was yesterday's visit about?
And I do agree with your last remarks. We have to remember the purpose of these boards and the good they serve, even if they are not what we like.

Tracy---Everyone needs a day full of thoughts now and then. I was in the middle of one one myself before reading your post..
Your attitude is amazing. .
Thank you for helping me put things in proper focus. Today might be the day that I put together a plan and actually get something accomplished.

Mimi, if you read my post last week, "Impending Stroke", it will explain what yesterday's visit with my neuro was about. He did a very thorough exam, spent about 45 minutes with me, did several clinical tests and was very concerned about my right side as it was not reacting to anything. He thinks I may have already had a "light stroke". SO, he has ordered for me next Monday 2 MRI's of the brain one with and without contrast, and MRA and an EEG. Going to be a very long day. Tehn I see him again in 2 weeks for follow up. He is the best! If any doctor can figure it out, my neuro will.

Tracy, I responded to you and posed some questions on your prior thread, "Neuro Update."
