Hi Waiting for a Cure and others, I have tried to post a few times with little success. It has been just a little over a month since my sweet mother, Jean passed away.  I am back to teaching full time and have resumed most of my regular activities. Every day I have a little cry and let myself feel sad.  I miss my mom.   I dry my tears, blow my nose and then try and carry on.   One of my dearest friends said to me a few days after my mother died,  "You can invite sadness for a visit - but it doesn't have to stay for dinner".   Someone told her this shortly after her father died.  I like this image.  It is the Lenten season.  A time to prepare our hearts for Easter.  It is a time for prayer and reflection.  A journey. New Life.  I will cling to this promise.   Peace to you all, Carly Jean

CarllyJean, so glad to read your post. I like your quote, too!

I know what you mean about getting back to life's activities with a cry here and there.

Hope to see another post from you soon.

I love the quote too - so glad you're able to keep moving forward.  You know your Mother would have wanted you to.  My Mother went by "Gene" as well.  Special people our Mothers....forever have changed our lives.

Bring on spring!
