As World Alzheimer's Month draws to a close I hope it has made a huge difference in awareness and support everywhere! I know some out there still have their walks yet to come and I wish you all the best luck in the world with fund raising. While I know nothing about figures, ours was last Saturday and I was asked to represent diagnosed on stage and told I could talk if I wanted to and since I gave a long talk about advocacy 2 years ago I decided I wanted to keep it short and sweet. I told the group that I appreciated so much all of them coming out to support the cause and to please provide (if they haven't already) their e-mail address to the association for advocacy. That is the summary of it anyway, LOL. So our walk seemed to have a huge turnout, I don't know how numbers compared to previous years but it seemed to have increased, will be curious to find out. I am so thankful for the people that have either been affected or just care that come out and walk and raise funds. My team for which I was a captain blew our goal out of the water! Unfortunately on a personal level I fell short of my goal but did the best I could especially considering everything I have been going through lately. I hope everyone keeps helping to create awareness and PLEASE if you go to any political event, ask the candidate how they stand on issues important to all of us!! Thanks!
