Hi
Does anyone have any suggestions for me regarding these visual hallucinations my mother has frequently through the course of the day and evening time. She has advanced dry MD and her Dementia is coupled with these "things" she sees that do not exist. Rocks, water, logs, cats, people, bugs, etc. She use to sleep thru the night but now wakes up a couple times with these hallucinations of objects or people that are not there. She does not have any new medical diagnosis at this time and her blood work is fine as well as she is on the same med's she has been on for some time. Are there any Homeopathic remedies that we can try to help with these disturbances. I read that these hallucinations can stem from eye sight loss. When the brain loses input from the eyes, it may generate images on it's own. It is called the Charles Bonnett Syndrome. My question is are these any ways to help my mom???

I'd suggest that you repost on Caregivers Board
I think studying the Validation Method of Feil will help. Do ask at your local library

There is a product called feru-guard (ferulic acid and Angelica archangelica) sold through a company in Japan (Glovia) that seems to help with hallucinations (most likely including visual hallucinations).
Treatment with Feru-guard led to decreased scores on the Neuropsychiatric Inventory in 19 of 20 patients and significantly decreased the score overall. The treatment also led to significantly reduced subscale scores on the Neuropsychiatric Inventory ("delusions", "hallucinations", "agitation/aggression", "anxiety", "apathy/indifference", "irritability/lability" and "aberrant behavior"). There were no adverse effects or significant changes in physical findings or laboratory data.
