My husband was diagnosed with AD 4/24/2018 - he was in stage 5.  He died 4/26/2020.  He was cremated.  The viewing was held before the cremation.  He was a Vietnam veteran, and the American flag was presented to me during the viewing.  After the cremation, his cremains were hand - delivered to me.  The Celebration of Life was held 8/22/2020 - it was held outside with social distancing. The speakers were:  the hospice chaplain, my husband's brother, his son, and I.  My husband's cremains were interred at a veterans' cemetery 10/9/2020.

I'm sure the service was meaningful to all and I hope you had glorious weather. Now your dear husband is at rest. Blessings to you!
