Off comes my Peer Volunteer hat.
While I am NOT personally recommending this, I wanted to share a bit of interesting news you may want to take a look at as I know from so many Postings written by Members that prescription costs have been a significant problem for many.
Billionaire Mark Cuban has been a critic of the extreme profit driven markup for prescription medications. He has started a discount pharmacy and the discounted savings appear to be huge. He states that pricing is set at the actual cost of each medication plus 15%.
It was was stunning for me to see pricing differences when doing average price comparisons that have been included on the actual prescription website for the meds they carry.
NOTE: Though all seems to be valid, I suggest before venturing to use this pharmacy that you to first speak to your physician and perhaps even with your pharmacist.
Here is the news blurb link:

Here is the link directly to the pharmacy:

Scroll down to, "view all conditions" and click on "dementia" for review of pricing for dementia meds that the carry.

Thanks for sharing. Personally, I buy medicine on https://www.canadapharmacy.com/ . And it will be really interesting for me to find out the difference in price and compare these two services. So thank you again

Thank you Jo. I had forgotten about that site. They sure have a lot more medications now than they did not long ago.

Jo, I just looked on the site for glucose test strips. I can save about $17.00 on an order of 100 test strips vs. what I would pay at CVS even with a 20% discount. Exactly the same product.

DH just received his first prescription from that site. Memantine 10mg — 90 day supply — $17.
The cost at all local pharmacies would have been around $250 as his prescription plan has tiered drugs and rates this one as tier 3. Tier 3 has a deductible that has to be met each year. Even after meeting the deductible his cost would be over $100. So this is a huge savings.
When I mentioned Cost Plus Drugs to the neurologist, he said he’d never had anyone use it, but if I got him the information on how to send the script he’d gladly do it. And to be sure to let him know what I thought as if it were a good deal he’d recommend it to other patients. (I love this guy.)
The site has clear directions. It’s a little more work to set up your account than dropping off the prescription at your local pharmacy, but it was so worth it.
