Husband with probable frontotemporal lobe dementia (at least mid or later stage) has started getting up at 4 AM instead of 6 AM as usual to take a shower and get dressed. He goes to bed around 9 PM (sometimes I have to make him stay up until that time). I am not a morning person, so this is stressing me out even more. He has tried haolperidol, ativan, Zyprexa, and all had some kind of side effects. He started the citalopram a week ago. Also has been taking Trazadone to help with sleep - goes off to sleep quickly, but wakes up and gets up early.
