Hmmmm, so articulate inside, and yet his concern seems to be that he can't articulate his feelings. I'm trying to empathize as to what that would be like. Frustration and so much sadness.
Glad you found it; glad you posted. Will "ponder these things" in my heart.

His posts are very poignant. They are interspersed on one thread, beginning here: http://alzheimers.infopop.cc/e...644068777#8644068777

Guess this really sums it up. We all have wanted to know what it is like. Norm Mac who has dementia early on pretty well says it all.
Hear My Cry’s Voice`s fading, not through age, Dementia building it`s sound proof cage, Listening in but nothing out, Unable to talk but able to shout, Frustration runs through every bone, Feeling so empty, always alone, Hear me cry, silently so, One day happy, then so low, I`m still me, deep inside, Nothing to fear, nothing to hide, Unable to say what`s on my mind To those I love, to one so kind, Hear my cry`s, I’m still here See my eyes fill with tears, Until the day we meet again, And walk among the sunny glen, Know my heart is always yours, Until the closing of life`s door`s

I loved A Loving Daddy's post on the other thread as I indicated when I first read it on November 10. I printed it out in its original form as well as Alana's edited copy, but I loved the original form. I could almost identify with his rambling thoughts, but maybe not necessarily the content.
Thank you, JAB, for bringing it to mind again as my copies are in my drawer along with all the other AD info. Thanks to you also, Roger. I am so glad that you have something new to think about and the realization that Phyllis is not really gone from you.
For the New Year, I wish all my friends on the board MOMENTS of joy, HOURS of deep slumber, DAYS of strength and energy, WEEKS filled with hope, and a FUTURE of peace and rest knowing that you performed a wonderful service of love.

JAB,
I did cry after reading A Loving Daddy's posts. But it has also let me into my wifes minds. To know how and what she felt. To know now that even though she can not talk she is still there and that I need to love even more and to let her know that she is mine and that I do love her so so much.
I have been doing that but I think I probably need to do it even more.
Thanks JAB for posting that link.
