Last thursday night a week ago, DH had a stroke. affected his right side and speech. was in hosp until Mon and then transferred to rehab facility. He stayed one night. He was soanxious and wanted to roam day and night. they couldn't take care of him. so i brougt him home tues night..we will have home health care with a therapist..but you know he has recovered so well, he may not need much. his speech has come back as well as his walking ability. he has trouble with his right hand eating and tying his shoes. I am afraid that this has put a decline further into this journey we are on..I will be able to tell after a few more days, i think..I am glad he is home, but he was up last night until 3 this morning, talking to the man in the mirror..

Ipoe, I just wanted to let you know that each time my husband has had a seizure it's been followed by a few days of increased confusion, even hallucinations. He talked to pictures and walls, wandered constantly, and couldn't sit still for 1 minute. Eventually we got back to normal. A stroke is so much worse than a seizure that I hope some of the fog will clear for him and for you.

So sorry this happened, but glad he's recovering so well. You've done such an amazing job. Hope you can get more sleep tonight.

Oh ipoe, I am so sorry. I am sure it's been a tough week. Hopefully he will continue to "recover" in your care. But remember you need a break, don't work to hard.
