My mom isn't able to stand/walk without help. But she can't remember that. She would crawl over the rails of her hospital bed, and for months I slept on edge trying to hear her and running to catch her before she fell.
NOW I know that hospital beds can have an adjustment made so that you can lower the bed to about a foot off the ground. The company came out and made the adjustment for free. Now I lower her bed each night, and I get a GOOD night's sleep knowing that even if she were to crawl out, she'd be so close to the floor she couldn't get hurt.
Miracle!

That is wonderful. I never knew they could lower them down that far. Wonderful safety for someone that has difficulty walking and doesn't remeber. You could also put a bed alarm mat down on the floor so you know when they do get out of the bed.
